A cookie is a small file placed on your device when you visit a website. Under article 82 of the French Data Protection Act (loi Informatique et Libertés), your prior consent is required before a cookie is placed, unless it is strictly necessary for the service you request. According to the CNIL, this covers cookies for authentication, for the basket or invoicing, for your language choice and those that limit free access to a sample of content.

1. Strictly necessary cookies (no consent needed)

These cookies are placed without your consent because the website cannot work without them. You can block them in your browser, but language, login or the basket will no longer work properly.

Language (InfraPrep website)

  • infraprep_lang: remembers the language you chose (French or English). Duration: 1 year.

Login (WordPress)

  • wordpress_logged_in_[identifier]: shows that you are logged in and who you are. [TO BE CHECKED: duration set on the website.]
  • wordpress_[identifier]: authentication in the administration area. [TO BE CHECKED: duration set on the website.]
  • wordpress_test_cookie: checks that your browser accepts cookies.
  • wp-settings-[time]-[user number]: interface display preferences.

Basket and order (WooCommerce)

  • woocommerce_cart_hash and woocommerce_items_in_cart: track the contents of the basket. Duration: session.
  • wp_woocommerce_session_[identifier]: identifies your basket and checkout session. Duration: 2 days.
  • woocommerce_recently_viewed: recently viewed products, only if this widget is displayed. Duration: session.
  • store_notice[identifier]: remembers that you closed a shop notice banner, if one is used. Duration: session.

Payment (Stripe)

During payment, the Stripe form may place cookies used to detect and prevent fraud. Stripe describes their use in its cookie policy: stripe.com/cookies-policy/legal. [TO BE CHECKED: list of Stripe cookies actually placed on the website, and "strictly necessary" classification by the reviewer.]

2. Cookies requiring your consent

None. The website places no audience measurement, advertising, social media or order attribution cookies: WooCommerce's order attribution feature is disabled.

3. Local storage

The website does not use the browser's local storage ("localStorage" or "sessionStorage") for its own features. [TO BE CHECKED before going live, including extensions.]

4. Managing cookies

  • In your browser: you can delete cookies and block them in your browser settings.
