About InfraPrep: how our practice exams are made
InfraPrep offers practice exams for IT certifications so that you can train on the real format. This page explains why the site exists, and how every question is written and checked.

Why practice exams
To practise on the real format: multiple-choice questions, a timed exam mode with the duration shown on each certification page, and a score domain by domain at the end. Study mode corrects each answer straight away, with the explanation and the link to the documentation.
Our method: four controls before a question is published
A question is published only if it passes the controls below. One that fails is deleted or rewritten, never published as it is.

Written from the public documentation
Each question is original and written from the official public documentation of the vendor. Nothing is copied from a real exam, from the vendor's sample questions or from other courses.

A quoted sentence for every correct answer
The correct answer is backed by a sentence quoted word for word from the official documentation, with the link to the page. No figure (port, default value, limit) is written from memory: it is read on the documentation page.

Automatic check of the citations
A script opens every link and checks that the quoted sentence is on the page, word for word, and that the page is the right version of the documentation. A missing sentence, a dead link or the wrong version fails the question.

Independent blind check
A separate reviewer, who did not write the question, receives the question and the choices without the answer key. It answers using only the official documentation, which it reads itself. The question is rejected if its answer differs from the key, if two answers are defendable, or if the documentation does not settle it.
Corrections
Users can contest an answer with the "Contest this answer" button under the question in study mode. A question contested with a source is withdrawn or rewritten, and the catalogue keeps changing.
Honest limit: these controls bring errors down to a very low level, not to zero. The documentation itself can be unclear, and such questions are dropped. If you find an error, tell us.
What InfraPrep is not
- An independent service, with no link to the vendors of the certifications. Product and certification names belong to their owners and only indicate which exam a test prepares for.
- A source of real exam questions: nothing is memorised from an exam. The questions are realistic in form, never in content.
- A guarantee of success: no practice site can promise a result. Practice exams help you find your weak domains and get used to the format and the timing.
